No-Go!

So the butter ghee with Kinky_curly gel is a definite No-Go! entirely too much residue. I will be sticking with just styling with the butter ghee and conditioner for a while.

Hooray for growth and a staple style!

Butter Ghee, My New Experiment

butter ghee - Google Images

Once again my curiousity got a hold of me as I was walking through the international isle at Kroger's in search of coconut oil. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a bottle containing a yellow buttery substance and the words "Butter Ghee" in big bold letters. "Well I wonder what that would be like on my hair" is my first initial thought. This either shows that I'm a tad bit crazy when it comes to my hair experimentations or that I have a perfectly inquiring mind, you be the judge.

Anyway, I bought the butter ghee for a whopping $10 and quickly ran home to slap it on my hair. It's thicker than regular butter for sure and has enough cholesterol to knock a grown man into a coma. It definitely makes my hair softer but has that very buttery smell and I feel like I just walked out of a bakery oven or something.

A little goes a long way because it is oil so too much of it makes my hair very oily. I first used it when my hair was dry with no products. I mixed the butter ghee with conditioner and raked it all through my hair and brushed with my trusty Denman Brush. Butter Ghee definitely weighs my hair down so it makes it easier to brush it all the way back and it lays down with relatively little to no poof.

What I've been experimenting with the past couple of days is adding it to my hair while my hair still has the kinky-curly gel on it. I'm not sure of the results yet, if I even notice a difference by adding it to kinky-curly gel or not, the verdict is still out on that.
But you can bet your buttom dollar that I'm still experimenting!
