Ok! so here goes the verdict on curlformers - guilty. lol. ok, here's my real reaction; I'm not sure if.....I don't even know what to say (type)....I guess, what I'm trying to say (type) is that it didn't really come out as nice as I expected, which might be due to a number of factors:
1. I chose a combination of the long and narrow and short and narrow. I think I was scared that I was going to run out of curlformers so, I might have made the hair sections too big for each curlformer.
2. I used a product called "Lotta Body" (from Sally's Beauty Supply Store) as a setting lotion, maybe I didn't use enough or used to much water in addition to it.
3. A combination of number 1 and 2.
Don't get me wrong, It's not like it came out horrendous or anything. The curls that curled were spirally and looked good, the one's that didn't curl too good weren't really spirally and didn't really look good. That's basically the bottom line.
The front of my hair came out really good. The curls were nice and spirally and looks like it'll keep for a week or two. Today's is actually my second day with the curls. Before I went to sleep last night, I did a sort of pin curl for each section that was already curled, and of course, slapped on a scarf before I went to bed.
And this afternoon, I rubbed some coconut oil on my hands and rubbed it through my hair which gave it mucho shino and I finger combed the curls out, and then lightly brushed it with a soft bristle boar brush (except the front).
It looks nice like this so I'm hoping it'll keep for a week or so - especially the front. I'll basically do the pin curl method thing for the front again, before I go to sleep tonight.
